On 28/09/2010 Dörken MKS-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG, Herdecke, took over LP-Oberflächentechnik GmbH of Schalksmühle. Awarded 1st place in the "Innovative Young Businesspeople" category of the Start Award NRW in 2008, the company develops and markets specialist products for electroplating. From pre-treatment of the metal materials to various electroplating baths and on to passivation and sealing for after-treatment. The centrepiece of the product range is a high-performance galvanisation system that is recyclable and therefore resource-saving and economical.
LP Oberflächentechnik GmbH specialises in innovative, environmentally friendly electroplating systems and was founded by Christian Mohr and Ernst-Peter Plate on 01/04/ 2003. Since February 2005 the company has been supported by Lutz Ponke. Since 2010 LPO,headed by Christian Mohr as General Manager, has been a company of Dörken MKS-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG.
With the acquisition of LPO Dörken MKS-Systeme is expanding its product portfolio in zinc flake technology to include galvanic systems, making a conscious choice for the economical and ecologically aligned innovations of the LPO series in the process. "This addition enables us to set a further milestone with regard to the growing innovative ability of DELTA-MKS® systems", says Managing Director Dr. Gerhard Reusmann.
Dörken MKS-Systeme is market and technological leader in the field of chromium(VI)-free zinc flake systems and was awarded the "TOP Innovator" quality seal for its performance as one of the 100 most innovative companies of the German Mittelstand quality seal in 2010 for the second time. The success of the systems and their high degree of acceptance in the automobile industry has characterised the development of the company, which is now 30 years old. Today, Dörken MKS-Systeme is a global player - with a development and production centre at the Herdecke site. In addition, there are also TechCenters in the USA, Brazil, China and South Korea. Overall, the licensed coating partners are supported by employees in 14 countries. |
